About Venus Artists
A New Approach to the Performing Arts for both the Presenter and the Artist
Venus Artists was formed in 2007 by Jane Hunt and Meggie Wolcott on a cold winter day on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
The company was conceived of by Jane Hunt who, as an artist herself, wanted to not only explore innovative ways to approach the performing arts but also provide a solid foundation from which emerging artists could grow and develop during the early stages in their careers. This idea quickly spread amongst her closest colleagues who shared this ideal and so Venus Artists was born.
All of the artists on our roster have made their debut at two of the following venues : Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Each has a unique approach to their music and performance, striving to break new ground in the performing arts world.
Venus Artists aims to provide presenters with access not only world class artists but versatile ones who can listen and adapt to specific needs voiced by the presenter and venue. The artist's flair and audiences' desires are forever intertwined. By working together with presenters and artists in order to discovery everyone's ideals and goals it is possible to reach the audience on a deeper level. This level will not only serve to satisfy the audience but both the presenter and the artists, too.
Meggie Wolcott is the President of Sales and Jane Hunt acts as CEO and CFO for the company. In a relatively short amount of time both Meggie and Jane have developed a flourishing collaborative relationship. They remain committed to one goal – that of programming emotionally stirring performances for all those who love the arts.
We represent classical, new classical, jazz, world and symphony performers.
